Dr. Marisa E. Viñas is a board-certified General Surgeon with focused post-graduate training in Cosmetic and Reconstructive surgeries. Her credentials are extensive, including the following:
- Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery (Mount Sinai Medical Center)
- Graduated Fellow of the American Burn Association Accredited Burn Surgery Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University Burn Center (Department of Plastic & Reconstructive surgery)
- Graduated Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery
- Diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery
She completed her General Surgery residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. This was followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in Acute Burn Surgery and Burn Reconstruction Surgery through the Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Johns Hopkins Burn Center in Baltimore. She later completed an intensive Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, where she performed over 1,000 cosmetic surgery procedures prior to becoming a diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.
