Dr. Marisa E. Viñas is a board-certified General Surgeon with focused post-graduate training in Cosmetic and Reconstructive surgeries. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, a graduate Fellow of the American Burn Association, and a graduate of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
She completed her General Surgery residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. This was followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in Acute Burn Surgery and BurnReconstruction Surgery through the Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Johns Hopkins Burn Center in Baltimore.She later completed an intensive Cosmetic Surgery fellowship through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, where she performed over 1,000 cosmetic surgery procedures prior to sitting for her American Board of Cosmetic Surgery boards examination.
